If you turn an opened jar of pesto upside down to store in the fridge (I put mine in a little bowl just in case there is a bit of leakage) it stays as fresh as a daisy! This is one of the best tips I have ever read (can't remember where) as I've thrown out countless 1/2 full but furry jars of pesto. I bet it works with other pastes too. If it's a bit thick I'll thin it with a bit of EVOO which helps to eek it out a bit as an added bonus. I think the logic is to keep the air out. I have frozen pesto in ice cube trays but out of sight is out of mind and I've ended up putting frozen pesto in my hot pasta:-OSparkiedollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06229027855140587770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7203323287774911355.post-81980332900305297602017-02-01T23:29:09.548+00:002017-02-01T23:29:09.548+00:00Thank you :DThank you :DSusie - secondhandsusie.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16727933470111599594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7203323287774911355.post-9569697201714432692017-01-23T00:28:24.681+00:002017-01-23T00:28:24.681+00:00Thank you :DThank you :DSusie - secondhandsusie.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16727933470111599594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7203323287774911355.post-7984677737202991912017-01-23T00:25:19.077+00:002017-01-23T00:25:19.077+00:00I'd love to make my own Thai curry paste..mayb...I'd love to make my own Thai curry paste..maybe one day when I'm organised enough to buy all those ingredients!!Susie - secondhandsusie.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16727933470111599594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7203323287774911355.post-48585965420863593352017-01-23T00:22:58.806+00:002017-01-23T00:22:58.806+00:00Thanks :) We have a similar situation but I'm ...Thanks :) We have a similar situation but I'm trying to rectify it! My friend Rach, who introduced me to Thai Green curry (and, incidently, blogging) makes her own curry paste up from the herbs and she freezes it into ice cube trays and pops one into the pan when making it.
