Some of the treasures I've found recently...
Retro tapestry, £8, Ebay. I love this, it reminds me of Aberystwyth (where I used to live), with the castle and the cove. I'm going to hang it in my living room somewhere but until then it's leaning against my cupboard.
Pink poodle-y plant pot holder, £1.50, local charity shop.
Snail plant pot holder, 50p, second hand shop in Aberystwyth.
Vintage tray, £1.20, local charity shop.
Have you bought yourself anything marvellous recently?
I really like the snail planter! Nice finds! I have definitely tapered down my thrifting, due to 1. trying to streamline/simplify and 2. Being closer to broke than not broke. Now I REALLY scrutinize purchases (of all sorts) before buying. Recent highlights include a hand pieced heart table runner (in my latest post) and a tapestry with crazy-ass animals (like the squirrel is as big as the cheetah-thingy!).
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I *had* put a stop to my spending, but I have a new flat and an excuse to buy stuff...I do try to only buy things that are beautiful or useful (as Mr Morris has taught us all). I like the sound of that tapestry with the giant squirrel! Please share photos! :)
