Retro Seventies Crafts #1. Animals, Dolls and Creatures.

I found some craft cards from the seventies while I was tidying and packing things in my flat.  They're so cute and funny and bonkers, I had to share some with you!

The cards were published by Hamlyn in 1979.

My absolute favourite pattern is 'Blondie and the Spaceman', I love the wallpaper in the background, and Blondie's lace nipples!

  1. These are awesome! I love Blondie and the Spaceman too, but the Bean Dolls look fun as well. Have you made any of them?!

    1. I haven't yet, I'm guilty of hoarding patterns and only looking at the pretty pictures! I will make a Blondie one day though, because I think she's too brilliant not to be made!

  2. These are so cute! Isn't it interesting how pattern has come back into vogue - a few years ago these would have looked really dated, but now you can see very similar backgrounds and layouts in craft mags like Mollie Makes.

    1. I always think that too, although I've always loved things from the seventies, but they're cool now! I have many many things that would look at home in Mollie Makes!

  3. Surely the Lion is the greatest crafting project ever! Not sure what you would do with it but it is magnifcent.
