Four Years. Go.

I just came across this interesting video on The Organic Gypsy's lovely blog and thought I'd share it here too...what do you think?  Could we change the world in 4 years?

    hi Sooz,
Another video that was broadcast recently, on the main TV channels last week, by David Attenborough; which I'm sure you and your readers will appreciate, and is very much connected with the previous video,

By the way I like the above video very much ( For the next thousand years!). "awesome"…..

  5. Another interesting video about global warming, with a rather optimistic view that technology can save us and the planet , so one doesn't have too change our lifestyle supposedly to any great degree? with new technology it presupposes that we can generate enough power for our needs and still have a rather affluent Western lifestyle for all! rather than drastically cutting our wasteful ways,
but one must remember due to exponential growth in every area of human existence, the CO2 and methane problem is still exponentially increasing at 384 ppm at the moment for CO2, and is forecast to be well over 400 ppm in a few years time, unless people take drastic measures now! on a personal level before governments get their act together which may be never!……
This is another mainstream TV show from the BBC:

  6. A Crude Awakening – The Oil Crash Full HD
    http://lovedocumentaries.com/best/a-crud...
An unforgettable and shocking wake-up call, A CRUDE AWAKENING offers the rock-solid argument that the era of cheap oil is in the past. Relentless and clear-eyed, this intensively-researched film drills deep into the uncomfortable realities of a world that is both addicted to fossil fuels and blissfu…

  8. Glad you liked it Kay :)

Hi Stephen...thanks for braving the 'girly-ness' of blog...I think you're the first man ever to comment here!!!! I REALLY need the sound sorting out on my PC so I can watch these videos...I think I've seen the crude oil awakening one before, but I'd like to see it again anyway. I'll have to smile sweetly at my uncle next time he visits and get him to mend it! Wouldn't it be lovely if technology could save us from this terrible mess, I think technology would need a little help from Harry Potter and his mates, but it would be lovely and easy, unfortunately I agree with you that that probably isn't going to happen so it's a good job some of us are starting to make changes ourselves...I doubt the world's governments will ever get it together in time...but I'd love to be proved wrong!

  9. Yes I know I'm rather embarrassed myself, Perhaps it was overindulgence on a tipple the night before? ( Dutch courage) ha ha,

Perhaps in some ways technology is the problem that has fuelled this madness in the first place! whether technology has the ultimate ability to provide a solution is doubtful, considering exponential population growth, but it certainly does no harm to try,
perhaps we should retire 100 years back in their history, at a time when today's problems simply weren't on the radar, perhaps living like the' Amish 'do today, with their total lack of dependents on modern technology, and also their concern for their continued cultural values, amongst a sea of consumerist opposition. thinking the Amish way is rather absurd?.....

Or perhaps we could pray to the mother goddess for enlightenment!
knowing that you have an affinity with the faye.... Which is certainly worth a try sooz!.
