First Sweet Strawberry of Summer...

Mum and I had a strawberry each tonight!  Goodness know's how they've ripened because there's been no sun to do it!

Yum yum!

Are you eating your home grown food yet?

  2. That looks delicious!

I had a vegan strawberry sorbet at the Eden Project the other day - which was nice!

  4. A strawberry without sun is a great result!!! I'm still eating my radishes and sculpit. Also zucchini flowers, but no zucchini... they are very lazy to grow! And I'm waiting for tomatoes! This year I planted another bigger species and on the plants there are 5 tomatoes at the moment but they have to become red! Now sun is not missing... so what can I do? Totoro's dance? LOL

    1. My courgettes (zucchini) are not happy either, they're not even flowering yet, they just have yellow leaves and look sad :( I will join you in doing Totoros dance I think! I'm waiting for my peppers to sprout, I'm on my 3rd pot of pepper seeds and none of them have done anything. Horrible gardening weather this year!

  5. I've got a couple of baby strawberries just about ready to pick, although it appears something has already helped itself to one of them, how rude!

    1. Oh no! Someone had had a little go on my strawberry before I got to it, but it was ok after a good wash!

  6. Mine are still green, but the pesky slugs have been attacking them. I've put out some beer for them today so hopefully that will do the trick!

    1. If I were a slug I'd definitely go for the beer! Hope you have some strawbs soon!
