My boy isn't adverse to a bit of charity shopping, so I thought I'd start showing you some of the things he chooses too.
All these glass paperweights were bought from various charity shops on the same day!
We're not quite sure what this is, a vase? tealight holder? lampshade? It's cut off very sharply at the top, so we think maybe it was once part of a light fitting. £1, charity shop. (exciting new charity shop in town, woohoo!)
Have you (or your boyfriend/girlfriend/etc!) bought anything fancy from the charity shop recently?
The paperweights are very pretty. My husband bought some lovely black leather shoes and ended up stealing my brown leather brogues I picked up in a charity shop. He usually has very little luck with charity shops though!
ReplyDeleteI love finding comfy shoes in charity shops :) Luckily my boyfriend can't steal my shoes as they'd be too small for him! (He's a size 9, I'm a size 3!)
DeleteThose paperweights remind me of the ones that my gran use to have all over her house. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think my grandparents had a few too, I love them so I'm glad Joe's decided to collect them!
DeleteThe fish paperweight is pretty groovy. My husband tends to pick up books, movie DVDs and board games (if all the pieces are there) from charity shops, but not nick nack things - that's me.
ReplyDeleteWe saw a paperweight with a glass frog in it one time and never bought it, so he definitely had to buy the fish one!
DeleteI got some lovely bird paper weights from a jumble sale, which made a nice present for a friend's birthday.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of glass bird paperweights too, I like ones shaped like animals better!
