A little bit of progress....

This weekend my kitchen went from this....

To this.....

I am sooo happy! It is sooo pink! I am soooo in love with it!

Also thought I'd show a before and after of my bathroom...

From this....

To this....

Aaand I bought my sofa today, it has to be made for me cos I want a purple one and I have to wait 4 - 6 weeks for it!

I am exhausted, we've been to the tip 4 times this weekend (to say goodbye to the old kitchen, which was so gross and dirty it couldn't be saved), to B&Q and Homebase twice and to my flat to check on the kitchen men more times than I can remember!  Phew!

I'm so excited to see my flat turn into somewhere I'd actually like to live, rather than the dirty ick-some place it once was!

  1. Gorgeous! I'd a pink kitchen before (with a very cool landlady) then we upgraded... my kitchen now is lame old magnolia. Yours makes me all nostalgic ;)

  3. The kitchen will look very pretty and feminine. I can just see it now - all pinks and duck egg blues !
I walked past an upmarket kitchen shop this morning and thought of you, (Newport) - the window was full of kitchen equipment in lovely pinks.

    1. Ahh Wean, you know me too well, I was just looking at a blue blind with pink flowers on it! I like the sound of the posh pink kitchen bits too! :)

  4. Your new kitchen looks fantastic :) I am envious, but that is only because your "old" kitchen is better than the one in my rented cottage.I am trying to think of ways to revamp this one without spending much money and so far just keep going round in circles looking for inspiration.
You are really putting your own mark on the flat, how long till you think of moving in?

    1. Oh dear...I've lived with many, many bad kitchens in rented houses...there's not much you can do without spending a lot of money...I looked into just getting new doors for this one, but it cost the same as a new kitchen and the old one was so stomach-turningly dirty I took the easy way out and got a shiney one. I'm sure your kitchen will at least be clean, which is a vast improvement on the state of my old one! Could you cover the doors with sticky back plastic and put new door handles on?

I think I'll be in by the end of the month, or mid November at the very latest, I bought curtains today, ordered a sofa at the weekend, just need to sort carpets and then I can move :)
