Magazines...

I stopped buying magazines a couple of years ago...

I realised that the ones I was reading were full of boring celebrities, advertising and girls who all look the same and I didn't want to waste paper or pennies on them any more (except sometimes Dr Who Adventures when it has a reeaalllly good free gift or Sew Hip Magazine for the patterns).

946,430 billion magazines were sold in the UK last year!!

So instead I read online zines and blogs and communities, which have much more variety and no paper to recycle when I've finished reading.

Here are some of my favourites...

  1. I've been on a magazine "diet" for a while too. I only buy Bust occasionally. I bought one issue of Missbehave. I'm really sad that Jane has been discontinued, but I'm saving tons of money and trees. :)

  2. Hi Drea,
If they sold Bust in this county I'd have to reconsider my view on magazines! We never had Jane either *sigh*, at least lack of good magazines means lack of temptation! :D
