I wanted to make a present for my friend in Brazil (that I visited last year, and that I made the granny stripe blanket for). It had to be small, because I was asking her mum to take it with her when she visited.
I decided on a dangly, mobile, garland thingy!
I followed the free pattern for amigurumi stars by Amy's Odyssey that I found on Ravelry. Mine look more like flowers, because I did the 3 rounds in 3 different colours. I've made this pattern using solid colours before and they looked a lot more star like.
I used a 3mm crochet hook and lots of DK yarn from my stash. There are 2 little gold bells on the end that I attached to a chain of crochet.
Here it is in action. I think I might make one for myself!
That's pretty, would look good on a bedhead too.
ReplyDeleteI've just finished a bundle of stuff for Etsy, mostly crochet, and am working on a 'ragcraft' project right now.
I'll put some pics up when it's finished' - I have more ideas than time !
Hope you are well.
Thanks Wean, I've had a peek at your stuff on Etsy, very pretty, I especially like the crocodile stitch stuff!
DeleteSo colourful and pretty. Your friend will love it. Susie.
ReplyDeleteRosezeeta.
Thank you Rosezeeta : D
DeleteThose are so cute - I really need to pick up my crochet hook. I haven't done anything crocheting for an age, i've been side tracked with all my cross stitching.
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitching is lovely though, I can see why you'd be distracted by it! :)
DeleteIts uttlerly gorgeous,, I so want one! Wish you lived near to give me lessons in crochet, I can't seem to do it on my ownsome.
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Shaheen. I would totally give you lessons if I was nearby! :)
