I've had a few little bits of harvest from my garden this month,
Mostly little handfuls of raspberries and a few spring onions,
The last of the broad beans, the first of my tomatoes. The tomatoes aren't even nice though, they taste really bland. Bad summer for tomatoes I think. The apple came from next doors' apple tree, that hangs over into my garden!
I've had loads of leaves from my rainbow chard and spinach beet.
And lots of yummy raspberries!
We came home with a bag of veg when we visited my parents this weekend. From our own garden the biggest successes have been onions and some really nice beetroot. I have high hopes for the leeks too.
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky with your beetroot, mine came to nothing. I've got some onions in to overwinter, hopefully they'll come good :)
DeleteGood luck with your leeks!
Looking good! My raspberries were all done with by end of July but I was getting a bowl full daily - all now stuffed into our freezer or made into pies. I've been picking lots of hot peppers (25 this morning!) tomatoes and courgettes.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of peppers! :D
DeleteOh lovely, so far all we have are herbs an a chilli plant, but am hoping to start digging space for a veg patch this month!
