350...

I've only just become aware of 350, an international day of action on saturday 24th October to stop climate change, which can only be a good thing, right?!
You can sign a petition on their site and search for events where you live, unfortunately I've missed out this year and the only thing happening near me is a parents protest with children - do you think theres time for me to steal a baby before saturday!?

  1. Hi Sooz!
I'm new on your blog, even if we have two friends in common!
Great to see how many movements are now involved in raising consciousness about climate changes. In Italy we rarely hear about them on media... is a real pity! We must be more careful about the real problems of the planet or we will be really in danger in the future!
    Thanks for sharing this info!

  2. Hi Danda :)
Thanks for dropping by :D New people on my blog are officialy my favorite type of people (along with old people on my blog, obviously! and boys with long hair..mmm..but anywaaay!)

Our UK media hasn't mentioned 350 at all, which is why I haven't been able to take part or organise an event (which I would have done!), it's a shame really, but at least by mentioning it here I've made at least one person aware! Do you think you might take part in a 350 event near you if there are any? Let me know how it goes if you do! :D

  3. lol about boys with long hair and stealing babies! ;)
/did you manage to find any?;)

I suspect long-haired boys may take parts in eco activities too, no? ;)

I wish there were more eco activities and clubs here too..

I haven't heard of 350 before this either.. I did read online that bloggers worldwide were supposed to write about climate warming..

I worry about all this talk of global warming a bit, cause I think some people are sometimes using it as 'smokescreen' to avoid the even more important issues!!

There are many much more toxic and problematic chemicals than CO2 out there, I wish more were told and done about those!

PS I prefer short-haired, so feel free to have all the long-haired boys you find!;)

  4. Sigh, unfortunately no to both long haired boy and baby finding..this time at least!

I know what you mean about the whole global warming panic thing - I mean it does panic me to think that the climate will change and the polar bears will die and our countries will go underwater and we'll have no food!! But I don't think CO2 and climate change is the only baddie were going to have to contend with in the coming years. Although I'm still always pleased to see anything done about climate change, in the hopes that one day more people in charge will actually make some helpful laws to make the world a better place!
