Photo an hour, February 2016.

The day set for this month's photo an hour was Saturday 20th February, and I posted my photos on Instagram throughout the day.

Photo an hour is organised by Jane and Louisa and you can find round up posts on both of their blogs.

Usually I'm at work for photo an hour day, but not this time!  However my plans fell through and I ended up waiting in for a delivery then my Joe had to work late unexpectedly so my day was about as unexciting as usual!

Here's my day,

8am - I had to wait in for our new fridge freezer to be delivered.  We moved the old one out of the way last night, so the kitchen is in even more of a disarray than usual!

9am - Internetting with my breakfast.

10am - Exciting post, lots of lovely seed for my garden, including Very pink swiss chard!

11am - Having a little tidy and listening to Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor.

12pm - Two photos for 12pm (they're off my auntie so I think that's cheating!)  My domestic goddess-ry was interrupted by texts from my mum, my auntie had found some retro curtains in the charity shop where she works, did I want them?  Yes indeedy I did!

1pm - The new fridge freezer arrived, but it needed to stand for at least 24 hours.  This was disappointing because I was planning on playing fridge freezer organisation all afternoon.  I cheered myself up by putting my Delft Miffy magnet from Amsterdam on it though.

2pm - Joe came home early (yey!) but only because he had to go back to work later to cover a shift (boo!).  So he made me a baked potato for lunch and we watched Tattoo Fixers.

3pm - Time for a nap.

4pm - Napping.

5pm - Two fridge freezers in one kitchen do not make for the ideal food prep. area.

    1. I Love them! Can't wait to get my hands on them (but I'll have to wait because my Auntie bought them for me and she lives an hour and a half away!)

  2. I'm a candle in the evening kinda girl too. Lovely picture of you and Joe, was it commissioned?! I started Photo An Hour then the newphews came over and I got distracted, I will eventually join in for the full day. I would have said Yes to those Paisley purple curtains Susie. Good find.

    1. The picture is one I commissioned, it's by Sarah Graley who writes a webcomic I like :)
Hope you join in with photo an hour when you get a chance :D

  3. That vintage fabric is wonderful! I'm too paranoid about fire with candles to use them regularly - I always have a fear of not putting them out properly!.

    1. I frequently forget to put the candle out before bed - whoopsy! No fires yet though, I'm trying to be more careful!

  4. Aw I presume your new fridge is up and running now. You look like you had a cozy kind of day. Love your Miffy magnet and that blue vintage fabric. I always enjoy Tatoo fixers. :)

    1. Yes, the fridge has been turned on and is all filled up and organised :D
I would never get a tattoo, but I'm addicted to programmes about tattoos!

  5. That's a pretty cool fabric, will you be turning them into something?

I like a good old lazy day, although I must admit, I find it frustrating for photo an hour, because I'm terrible at indoor photos and I just never like them enough to want to use them.

I hope you enjoyed organising your fridge when you eventually got around to doing it! It's the little things, eh?!

    1. Thank you, I did enjoy organising my fridge. And then the supermarket shopping was delivered and I enjoyed even more telling my boyfriend where to put everything!

  6. I love how often your Photo an Hour posts include a nap! I envy your napping ability - I can only do it if I'm ill, or I've literally been up all night :)

    1. I love naps, if anything I take too many naps! Even as a teenager I used to get home from school and have a nap before my tea (that's how rock and roll I was! I also had glandular fever which wrecked my immune levels and energy levels, I still feel the effects now, but combat it with lots of lovely lovely naps!)
